One of the oldest marketing tricks in the book is to put your business sign on an old truck or van. Then place the vehicle on a public right of way until the authorities fine your business or tow it away. Of course, you'd have to be a marketeer to know that trick......or a cop. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So, let's see...if a sign on a truck is not illegal, is a sign on a truck parked on OPA property legal? Is the fact that it's on a truck instead of on the ground that the truck is standing on making it legal? Hi Ed, Yes, that is the question I am asking. A sign on a vehicle is not actually posted ....in a permanent place. Signs put in the ground are. Vehicles go to shopping centers, grocery stores, are driven around The Beltway etc. That is different from being POSTED for weeks on private property. I don't know exactly what OPA rules are about that issue. Nancy |
