"One of the last things Hill said to Trendic at last weeks meeting was "you want to play, let's play!"" Well, to be fair, Mr. Hill is quite the tough guy. Quite the big, intimidating manly-man. Spine made of steel, that guy. I'm sure Slobodon had to go home after the meeting and cry softly to himself in a corner while rocking back and forth in fetal position after having such a vague, squishy, predictable threat directed his way. Though, it seems to me that a strong guy like Hill would have no problem with a video of himself bad-mouthing colleagues and staff becoming public. After all, if what he said in the video (allegedly) is true, then he really should have nothing to be afraid of, right? It strikes me that a salt-of-the-earth, leader-of-men-type like Mr. Hill would have the strength of character to stand behind his words, instead of avoiding transparency like a vampire avoids sunlight. It strikes me that a man with solid moral, ethical, and legal foundations to stand on would have no problem with a forensic audit taking place, especially since it was his insinuation[s] regarding multiple instances of alleged "theft" that seemed to kick off this long, downward spiral months ago. This whole remove-Trendic thing that Hill and Mr. President have going is beyond embarrassing. It's wildly unpopular, it demeans our local politics (even more than any of us already thought possible, which is saying something,) and makes our town look incompetent and immature. My solution is for them all to resign. Every [darn] one of them. Even the ones I like. They clearly can't handle themselves in pressure-situations, they clearly have zero ability to work out differences like adults, and they are clearly more motivated to hurt each other than to help our town. Regardless of what good they've done, to me, this nonsense they're dragging us all through isn't at all worth it. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: "Despicable".....that's the word Herrick used right after his apology for his heated exchange with Director Jacobs...and then said "the despicable acts displayed by these 2 board members." Some apology! This motion by Hill & Herrick is despicable! It wasn't Director Trendic who tried to bring his business dealings into the Pines. It wasn't Trendic who placed surveillance cameras. It wasn't Trendic who was responsible for the mass firings at the Yacht Club just before New Years Eve. It wasn't Trendic who was responsible for Lynda Huettner leaving....a faithful employee who managed the Beach Club with HUGE success for 24 years serving under 5 general managers and 7 food & beverage managers with no problem till Hill came along. Mary Bosack...what happened there? We only know that video involves her and Hill and whatever happened she then left and threatened legal action. If I was a director I sure as "heck" would want to see what's on it....not stick my head in the sand. The only one calling for transparency in that and everything else is Director Trendic. Just how many have bit the dust for one reason or another since Hill became AGM? Would love to see all of them show up Thursday! I'm guessing Supik will vote yes and I'm hoping Director Parks who seems very level headed will vote no. That will make my choice, and perhaps those of many, very easy who to vote for in the upcoming election. I believe he'll do the right thing and vote no. We will absolute be there to support Director Trendic as I know many will be. Yes, he may be very detail oriented, may do endless research, may send many emails to his fellow board members of concerns and complaints he's heard from those he serves...to the point they may not want to read them....but that's what he's there for...to listen, observe, pass on the knowledge and find solutions. Isn't that what we want? He truly cares about the people of Ocean Pines and doesn't cave and become a "yes" man when he doesn't agree. He stands his ground when he knows he's right and I respect that. One of the last things Hill said to Trendic at last weeks meeting was "you want to play, let's play!"
