Based on your comment I went back to my original post and noticed it contained the draft version. The final language of my motion I emailed reads: MOTION: I motion this Board approves Forensic Financial Audit and that this Board be totally in charge of the selection and hiring of a third party certified forensic auditor or a firm with such credentials to conduct detailed examination of the Association’s records related to the food and beverage venues, public works transactions and certain projects. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I concur completely and if this is the only area that Trendic was indicating in his call for a forensic audit, I have no problem. His proposed motion is silent on this question. Every time I have gone before a judge to get approval to engage a firm to do this kind of work, I have to justify the scope and expense involved. More often than not, the judge will indicate that he/she is not going to authorize "a witch hunt". Their words, not mine. And I have to expect pushback from creditors on expense and the debtor on scope. Not a walk in the park and shouldn't be. |
