Sussex County Delaware has a unique celebration after Election Day where there is a parade and all candidates "bury the hatchet" and go forward in best interest of the constituency.
Marty A great custom. And a great sentiment. We have regularly gotten big smiles, seeing the reports on local TV about our Delaware neighbors on "bury the hatchet" day. Tom PS The whole US could learn from this. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Shelly: I actually have been a strong supporter and friend of Slobodon in the past. I had hoped that if I was elected, and that is a big if, we would work together on issues that we have both supported for years. I would hope that is still the case. Sussex County Delaware has a unique celebration after Election Day where there is a parade and all candidates "bury the hatchet" and go forward in best interest of the constituency.
