"Those hotels can book elsewhere, and will, if OPA starts dunning them."
Those hotels may play in OP because other golf courses have "dunned" them. If everyone, including members and hotels, paid OP there would not be accounts to write off as a loss year after year. Accounts can be set up using a credit card. Let the credit card issurer collect the money, not OP. IMO OP needs to get out lending business on everything. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It seems the BOD favors OP carrying golf associated accounts interest free for association members and business while charging interest to homeowners for association dues. I think you are making way too much of this golf issue. Some hotels on the beach may be slow paying, but I believe they pay. That income is very important for OPA bottom line on golf. Those hotels can book elsewhere, and will, if OPA starts dunning them. As for the golf member charges, a non-issue, as far as I am concerned. Forcing the board to eliminate all member personal accounts will not make things any better, and just might convince some paying members to join elsewhere. |
