I have a very difficult time believing your assertion that this is a "full spectrum request" in addition to an "apples to apples" comparison to other software providers. The software vendors that were evaluated by the TWG did not offer professional financial management to oversee our backroom operations. This is where firms, like L&N, will provide the additional benefit to our association. 

The Board of Directors were specifically notified in writing that this demonstration by L&N would NOT be L&N's traditional bundle of "people & software outsourcing, rather, we would license the L&N software ONLY and operate it with OPA staff, just like the other software that we have evaluated.  To categorize this effort as "way beyond" the proposal obtained last year form L&N is just well...let's leave that for others to decide.

The Board was additionally notified that this current recommendation from John Viola and the B&F Committee is for "TWG to ask L&N if their software could be decoupled from a management engagement and if so, he wanted to evaluate it using the same criteria used for the other vendors that were evaluated". This is a far cry from the original recommendation from B&F that specifically requested that Requests for Proposals be solicited from at least three HOA Management Companies (OUTSOURCING). 

The current recommendation and plan is completely at odds with what you portray as a "full spectrum request" but is clearly only a partial evaluation of what L&N can fully offer our association. Without evaluating the full services they can provide, this current Board is not providing the expected due diligence our association demands.
