That happened to an older gentleman neighbor of mine also several years ago. He was told his shed had to match the house color so he took a piece of his house siding he had saved to Sherwin Williams and asked them to match the color. After he repainted his shed he was advised by ARC that it was still in violation because the color did not match the [faded] siding on the side where the shed was located.   He was pretty stressed out at the time but fortunately calmer heads prevailed and OPA did not pursue any further action.
