So.... six of seven board members have internally discussed their positions relative to a no-confidence vote, and individually, or via leaks, that information is on the front page of the Progress with a headline of: Bailey under withering fire from directors unhappy with his job performance.
This Board of Directors, as an entity, is out of control, and operating in a manner that is harmful to the association. Sad. (bold added) The events you've described indicate that Parks has lost control. Control of a board starts at the top. In addition -- Quite often, in the history of OP, the board Prez has guided, advised and counseled the GM. Thus it seems that Parks should step down as board Prez, as well as looking for a new GM. Both of those guys should be sharing the blame for missteps that have been occurring. To be silent and allow the GM to omit conferring with dept heads at budget prep time makes the Prez also at fault. Again Parks needs to step down as Prez. as well as the board making its collective decision regarding whether to seek a new GM. Tom |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ken, if one believes what is in the Progress, there is a pending board vote of "no confidence" in the General Manager. The Progress says Parks and Horn are not going along. The Progress also says one director wants to give Bailey about a month; another until May 1; another six months; another wants immediate removal (given recent events it might be obvious who that board member is). The above thus includes four board members who have discussed possible removal of the General Manager with a local driveway paper publisher... or possibly one board member who is leaking internal board discussions to the publisher. This is not right. So.... six of seven board members have internally discussed their positions relative to a no-confidence vote, and individually, or via leaks, that information is on the front page of the Progress with a headline of: Bailey under withering fire from directors unhappy with his job performance.
