Google maps puts Elliott Island about 20 miles south from Vienna Md. Adjacent to fishing bay. And an hour's boat ride from Hoopers Island. I recall as a teen seeing the Hoopers Island style of boats build on the Chesapeake Bay. They had a distinctive rounded and sloping stern construction, but no transom. And they were cross planked on the bottom, with a large central keelson. Perhaps you' ll also recall some of this ??
