Nice work!
Thanks Jim. I had a lot of great help. I sold heavy equipment at the time and asked a customer that repaired equipment to do some body repair and paint it with Imron. Another friend in my Rotary Club had an furniture upholstery shop and did the seats. In this and other cases I attribute the great looking end product to the fact these folks were doing a one off in their world and put a lot of pride into the finished product. Originally the car had been raced, frame was bent, was missing bumpers, needed an engine job and replacement transmission ETC. ETC. When I took it for a test drive from the barn in which it was stored the right rear wheel spun off the knock off hub and I watched the wheel go off into a field. My son and I learned a lot rebuilding that Healy which in the end even with all the problems was well worth the effort. |
