I for one am not ashamed that OP took the PPP and again applaud the board for their due diligence
Your above statement reminds me of one important fact. For me the first and foremost issue has always been the "compliance." Steve Phillips and Doug Parks certified that OPA met the necessary CARES Act and SBA eligibility (the type of biz that can apply). My research points to a very different conclusion. OPA is a nonprofit 501(c)(4) non-stock corporation. Because the Board upheld its position that OPA qualified at the time of filing (April 7th) application I gave special focus to published information prior to April 7th. Here is just one example published on March 30th. Loans for Nonprofits Paycheck Protection Program |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thanks Tom for posting both articles, especially Doug,s rebuttal which IMO was outstanding. Too many times people in unpaid , elected positions here in Ocean Pines and elsewhere take criticism turning the other cheek. I am glad he came out with both guns blazing . We need more of that . I for one am not ashamed that OP took the PPP and again applaud the board for their due diligence I wonder how many people that believe we should return the money ever were ever laid off., lost their jobs, or had to move their family due to loss of employment. My guess is zero. |
