By the way, tests conducted again today indicate a safe level at the S&R Club beach. Tests are done weekly on Thursday, I believe. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yes Joe, I saw a post by OPA on Facebook yesterday that said a recent report on the water quality was "overblown". I believe they were referring to your statement. I, of course, immediately responded saying I didn't consider the report "overblown" since my swimguide app for the S&R Club shows a red icon meaning swimming is unsafe there. Today, I notice OPA's article has changed. The "overblown" remark is gone. The bottom line is change the swimguide app to reflect the true condition of the water. If the water is considered safe but watch out for open cuts, the app should have a caution icon. A red icon to me means no swimming. I don't know how I made it through all those years of swimming in the Chesapeake Bay at Cape St Claire. My sister did get ear aches from the Magothy though. I guess years and years of chemicals, etc. have contributed to all of this. Finally, I am glad to have the swim guide app. It just needs a little tweeking. |
