| "Nosed & Decked", removing the hood and trunk ornaments so our cars would look "cool". Backed the resulting holes with a penny and filling them in with "Bondo" then using touch-up paint.....we were sooooooo cool! | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: If the driver kept the hood ornament lined up on the edge of the road he could be sure he was on his side. I never knew that. In my era we "nosed" the car [removed hood ornament] for a streamlined look. |
