Jim, for what it is worth, I don't think it is irrelevant at all. I thought it was interesting. I do think, currently, however, there is minimal savings for homeowners to have folks install solar with a long term lease and a fixed savings amount. Now, some folks, you for example, want to lower the overall carbon footprint. I think that is admirable. I think at some point, as the technology price continues to drop, it will be much more common. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I posted the chart in 2016 and there was a discussion going on at that time. I reposted the chart which showed 80% of my electricity was generated by the panels. 2020 was a record year with 95%. Forum members has asked me in the past about my solar generation. I thought this might be of interest. Not many installations in The Pines, though. If members find this irrelevant, I'll be happy to drop this discussion in the future. |
