I've been involved before this group. I haven't seen any evidence that Mrs. Diller is advocating for her husband or that her husband is campaigning to the group. In full transparency: I didn't vote for either one of them. I found the whole idea of outsourcing the HOA and treating it as a business the wrong approach. I also was and continue to be critical of that board and Mr. Hill. If your concern is the Ocean Pines--Get Involved group doesn't have different viewpoints, I'm proof they do and my input had been received respectfully. I would love to see others who want to run for the board join the group. I think more involvement in OP is a great thing.
As for the lack of involvement/quorum....it is a concern. If this or any other group helps increase involvement, communication and transparency, that is great and something to be encouraged. My position is this Board has made mistakes and has room for improvement; but that doesn't mean throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The Merry Go Round of GMs is not in the community"s best interest. A succession plan and a cohesive team approach is what is needed. At tonight's Zoom meeting I even suggested that past Board members help future Board members so projects could stay on task, goals reached and the learning curve not so steep. At this point in my life, I am not running as I understand it the time commitment it requires. . |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Using a lack of a quorum in a pandemic at any location is ridiculous. To say that Diller is not advocating for her husband is equally ridiculous. Diller has tried this organizing rodeo before. Then disappeared for two or three years. Anyway, do you agree with Diller that this current board is a dictatorship? Are you running? How many of the 10 asked are running? |
