Section 23: OPA Elections Subject: A Questionable Alliance Msg# 1116590

That is not something being addressed at Saturday's meeting but considering OP's recent history of GMs it is a concern. Let's see: hire then fire Olson, let Thompson do the job, fire him, let Hill "volunteer and cause historic financial losses and the loss of our CFO, Comptroller, Beach Club Manager, Golf Course Super, Marketing Director, Parks & Rec Director, IT Specialist, Office Coordinator and Payroll Coordinator, do a search, hire then fire Bailey and then let Vila have the job, and then drive Colby Phillips to quit. And you think Colby would come back??? With this recent unstable history of GMs, a candidate would at least think twice before taking the job, so a succession plan might be something the board wants to look at. Having a plan is a good idea and so is addressing and fixing why nobody wants the job. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I am at a loss as to why this group decided to concentrate on a GM succession plan. Not a single employee besides Colby Phillips applied to be involved in the succession plan and she no longer works for OPA. How can there be a succession plan if no employees want to participate? |
