Committee member Jenny Cropper-Rines, a Coldwell Banker Realty real estate agent, said she joined the Diller group and views input of the group as something similar to what OPA obtained from a community survey of the entire membership two years ago. Think about that. Diller's group could represent all of us. 

Rines went on to say the Communications Committee could help facilitate communication between Diller's group and the Board of Directors. She even goes so far as to say OPA should essentially hold Town Hall meetings based on topics of interest to Diller's group in order to "dissipate the negativity that's going on."

Finally, Rines says public complaints can harm property values and discourage people contemplating relocation to the community.

Wow! A statement like that at a time when buyers are fighting over properties in Ocean Pines.

Maybe, just maybe, folks worried about what association members have to say publicly should instead look to the Board of Directors for fostering discontent with their actions and statements.
