I wouldn’t sweat it too much, Nate. Having political signage in your yard is kind of lame, even while an election is going on. Having a sign in your yard long after an election is over is a little sad and kind of pathetic. If people want to advertise this about themselves, let them. It’s barely worth an eye roll, let alone getting bent out of shape about. It’s just people essentially saying “Look at ME! Look at MY VERY IMPORTANT OPINION!“ like a toddler trying to get their parents’ attention, totally unaware that no one actually cares what their opinion is. The near-total lack of self-awareness is kind of amusing. No one thinks that yard signage actually influences anyone’s opinions… placing them in one’s yard is an inherently narcissistic act. Just let these people be losers, man. Complaining about them just makes them feel validated, and gives them reason to perceive themselves as victims of what they probably believe is attempted censorship. They want your attention…stop giving it to them. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So what?? Do we really want a community where permanent political signs are the norm? |
