I agree Neil. unfortunately their are butt holes in every culture in the world. I just find it amazing that a lot of times a not so good employee who has problems on the job and gets written up or an oral warning can use the " because I'm black excuse" "because I'm gay excuse" because I'm a minority excuse" Not every work place disciplinary action is because of discrimination but it's easy to make people think it is / was. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Robert .. plenty of laws on the books but doesn’t change the reality that discrimination due to color, sexual orientation (including being a woman) and religion continues even today. Lynching was illegal but continued as is murder etc. Laws help but until we fully embrace them and enforce them the discrimination will continue. |
