Robert .. plenty of laws on the books but doesn’t change the reality that discrimination due to color, sexual orientation (including being a woman) and religion continues even today. Lynching was illegal but continued as is murder etc. Laws help but until we fully embrace them and enforce them the discrimination will continue. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), which makes it illegal to discriminate against a person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity), or national origin. Gee Neil, I wonder how many laws the U.S has to pass in order for folks to say maybe just maybe the problem may be with some individuals and not with a race or life style... Feds have made it pretty easy over the past 57 years to hold people accountable for workplace discrimination! Robert. |
