As I have repeated...anyone kind find exceptions...yes we are had a black president. That doesn't mean there is no systemic racism in the US.
I find it interesting that most white men have a very difficult time coming to grips with their white privilege, tend to get defensive and cite an example or two...the old "one of my friends is black" line to try to deny the reality of systemic racism. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: After watching your video I happened upon the Ben Shapiro rebuttal of your animated video. For example he points out that in 1968 the red lining was outlawed by statute. That's more than 50 yrs ago, a good step, but maybe some remnants remain. Also he brings up school vouchers and school choice issues. And other weaknesses in that animated video. Personally I think that talent is a huge factor. I'd suggest in the music field, and in professional sports, there are significant successes by minorities based on talent. Very well paid stars. Talented people like -- Oprah, Shaq, Nat King Cole. They're significantly successful. Everyone doesn't have equal talents to perform every job well. Takes certain innate skills to be a good auto mechanic, chef, draftsman, computer programmer, welder, manager, judge, professor, etc. |
