I have been broke myself You and I get it, we have lived it.. A lot of folks simply drink the cool-aid and call it like Rev. Ike. Growing up in DC my folks never were able to afford a car yet we got to go to the doctors / clinics when we needed, grocery stories and so on. If they couldn't get off work they found someone who could take us... So many excuses thrown around. gee, I wonder how folks in Philly without cars get back and forth to work, get to grocery stores. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Amy: I assure you I get it. I have been broke myself, but I have never been poor. There is a difference. What do these unfortunate people do in Ocean City that they can’t afford a car? I spent many a summer working on the beach and always took home enough to live well and save enough for the fall tuition. Marty |
