Is that supposed to lessen the fact that they were brought here as slaves? Not a question of changing history but rather providing additional information that had been left out of history. Who of you had heard about the Tulsa riots and the burning of black wall street when we were in school or the Battle of the Washita etc??? History is important but too often we are not taught the full history. As far as books about things we may not agree with, you still have the choice to read them or not. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You can’t change history, just because you do not like it or agree with it. Black slaves were brought to this country and sold in1619. You can‘t change that. Nor can you change the fact that these blacks were originally enslaved by other blacks in Africa before being sold to white slave traders. |
