I had them placed in an old neighborhood I lived in after doing research on them. 80% of drivers will slow down.
OPAs speed advisory unit is a tow behind meant to be moved from one location to another. I have seen permanently installed units on a pole with a small screen that were installed where speeding is chronic and often little or no room to park the mobile unit. There are a couple of roads where this would make sense like Windjammer which is a long road and 25mph is seldom seen. I am sure there are a few others as well. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I had them placed in an old neighborhood I lived in after doing research on them. 80% of drivers will slow down. They produce long term behavior changes. The folks at Mumford's appreciated them there as it slowed down drivers headed to Mumford's pool. |
