What due diligence does/background check does the board do when they appoint a new director?
There is no background check to my knowledge. From the bylaws: (a) Eligibility. All candidates must be one of the owners of record of real property in the Subdivision on the first day of January of the year in which the election is to be held and eligible to vote under Section 3.01(c). No member may be a candidate for election as a Director of the Association if he or she is an incumbent Director completing a second consecutive elected full term of office. |
