So, you as a committee member think there is a conspiracy plan, effort or whatever you want to call it by some unnamed person or persons to keep good news away from your committee but the chairman of the committee, a man you say is a “great chairperson,” told me today he does not believe in whatever conspiracy theory you are selling.
Based on what I have learned, you should have been asking your board liaison who apparently did not turn over the second test to OPA until August or September - AFTER this meeting when the chair spoke with Viola. Then again, maybe staff employees are involved in the conspiracy as well and are lying about when Janasek dropped off the second test report in the Admin building. Did you ever stop and think, before concocting this conspiracy, that OPA was not releasing the first test info because it was deemed inaccurate by all involved including ACT? Why did the board liaison, the person receiving these tests, not deliver the second test result to OPA until August or September when it was done the prior December? You are the individual pushing this issue and trying to blame the GM or Board, not the Committee. The actual tests show no substantive problem at the pond related to human waste. You should be glad that is the case rather than trying to make others look bad for political reasons, and very conveniently just after the committee liaison resigns from the board while publicly badmouthing his fellow board members. One thing is painfully obvious, there is much more going on in the background than anyone being upset because the board liaison apparently did not turn over a test result for months. If you and your committee were so concerned that people in this community were in great risk, why did you remain quiet for over eight months? This is a tempest in a teapot, concocted to make the GM and board look bad. Why, when the second report was obtained, didn’t someone call the company that did the tests and ask what the results meant? I did. Seemed obvious Then again I had no ulterior motive You wanted this issue investigated but you don’t like the results. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: I think you are out of line blaming the messenger, the Environment & Natural Assets Advisory committee, for any such shenanigans. I also think Ken Wolf is a great chairperson trying to play down any so called conspiracy. It is true that I took those minutes, however, Mr. Wolf and the entire committee approved them as written. They accurately portray what happened and that is a indisputable fact. I don’t have the time or inclination to argue over “who struck John”. The fact is our committee asked over and over again for the results of the November report and didn’t get a copy from the GM or the board ever. On August 25th John Viola attended our meeting in the board room. He and Ken left the board room to talk off record. Ken told the committee that John Viola told him that the board did not want any water tests released to our committee or the public, and that is a fact and reported accurately in the minutes from August. Joe, if this kind of behavior is ok with you, than so be it, but it isn’t with me. Every member of Ocean Pines Association has the absolute right to this kind of information. I stand by the minutes as written and approved. Not a conspiracy just FACTS. Marty |
