You can contract your own services, why would you need a middleman? To have a master HOA sub contract the services out would be a logistical nightmare. I live in a gated HOA in Naples, Fl for 8 months comprising 1234 homes, this is broken up into several communities with separate HOA'S , I happen to be in one that has 83 homes, we contract our maintenance services for landscaping, pool maintenance, homepainting. roofing etc. for our 83 home community. We also pay a master HOA assessment for the Country Club, tennis, resort pool, bocce, golf course etc . The community is bundled golf which means that the golf membership is deeded with the property. If you are not a golfer or decide not to golf anymore you still pay the golf membership. Ocean Pines is a bargain when you look at assessments here and being able to chose what amenities you want to participate in. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Not exactly. Other HOAs include similar services in their much higher assesments. I'm just asking, if there were enough demand, OPA might be able to offer an optional service for those who want it. I'm not suggestion that the work be done by OPA. The work would be done by contractors. |
