Joe, you need to get out more! There have several local theater group productions that revolve around comedic HOA operations. Community Players in Salisbury has had a few and one coming up, I think. Additionally, there has been at least one TV series. Here’s the synopsis: HOA is a comedy/drama based in a small California housing development in the desert. The residents are manipulated by a self-serving Home Owners Association board. A retired government hit man (Max) attempts to reintegrate into society in his retirement years. He becomes a member of this HOA but takes his responsibilities a little too seriously. Jocelyn, an ex-FBI agent now a Park Ranger and single mom is also on the HOA board. There is a weekly murder of an HOA offender who has committed a crime against civility and society by violating one of the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R's). |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Well, I’ve read the the supplied material. And wow! Drama! I have often said an HOA like OPA might make a good soap opera. Isn’t beach life supposed to be sunshine, sand, and water? Sure. Just ignore HOA politics.... or accept it as entertainment. |
