d) Treasurer. The Treasurer is the chief financial officer of the Association and shall perform all duties incident to the office of Treasurer and other duties assigned by the Board of Directors, and shall exercise oversight over:
(1) the keeping of the complete books and records showing the financial condition of the Association and its departments; (2) the maintenance of a record of each member's account with the Association; (3) the depositing of all Association funds in the name of the Association in such banks or other depositories as approved by the Board of Directors; (4) the collecting and disbursing of the funds of the Association as prescribed by the Board of Directors; and (5) the preparation of an account of the financial condition of the Association, when requested. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Larry, I would urge all members to read page 18 of the by-laws where it describes the role of the Treasurer and not come away with appreciating the asininity of ordering the Treasurer to submit his/her requests for financial information to info@oceanpines.org. |
