I think the problem is Ortt’s original statement about DeAngelus, etc. Now that the community is speaking and being ACTIVE, Ortt is changing his tune. This is about his BUSINESS. Nothing else has changed. Police haven’t made any clarifying statements or charged anyone. So nothing has changed except business. What do people think DeAngelus should do? How do I know? He has a lawyer. He’s put out statements counter to what the police have put out. There was still a BOLO for the car when he claimed he already told the police where it was. Seems like he’s caught up in it by association. He might’ve, just might’ve, wanted to lay low at their businesses, take a (paid) leave of absence until this was resolved. He might’ve wanted to take some other employees with him. Community/business over self. Ortt put himself in the mix by his ridiculous statements. That’s on him. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: DeAngelus previously made a statement that he called his lawyer who then called the police the morning after Gavin’s death. What are people demanding of DeAngelus? Do they believe he was driving the car? One might assume the police have questioned everyone living in the house where the car was found, but who knows. The police are saying nothing. |
