Now that the tourists who didn’t know about Gavin aren’t patronizing his establishments, Ortt now has to rely almost exclusively on locals. But, because a huge number of locals are more than a little put-off by him and his company, I suspect Mr. Ortt got whacked pretty hard in terms of cash flow, and now has to cut bait with DeAngelus (and issue a waaaay-too-late apology for that idiotic statement he released months ago) in order to stay afloat. His apology rings hollow. It’s about money and self-preservation. Too little, too late. 

The lack of character on display here would be depressing if it weren’t, like I said, predictable. 

Big respect to the stores/shops/restaurants that put up “Justice for Gavin” signage outside of their respective establishments and who have offered other means of support to the Krupp family. Particular praise to the new Crabcake Factory on 50 and the Bottle Shop for putting up “Justice for Gavin” on their signs that directly face Coastal Smokehouse. Good on them.
