For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It appears to be directed towards me; however it is about controlling the narrative. This is not new behavior on Doug's part. As a director, he attempted to quiet me. He complained about my social media posts which prompted another director to screenshot all my posts to prove I was doing nothing improper. He even complained that I was writing commissioners and attending meetings regarding the proposed sports facility. As a candidate there was attempts to censor me that included a request to take down a transcript of my answers at candidate forums. Two weeks before the election results, Doug attempted to bring me up in a special meeting for election signs and a $250 donation at the golf tournament which past candidates did and he had my signs removed the day of the tournament. I could give other examples, but you get the point. Doug's letter to the Bayside Gazette was a knee jerk reaction to an article the day before that he didn't like. Rick Farr tried to spin it that it's because the Bayside Gazette doesn't reach out to them which is a lie; the articles quote Doug. This new Board majority like Joe pointed out, seems obsessed with me and the fact I have a voice I am using. The attacks continue on social media and include lies and accusations, even made by sitting Directors. After my public comment Saturday regarding the lack of transparency the vicious attacks continue including those made by Esther Diller who has started an anti bullying page. Sunday I was called a sore loser, whiny, autistic, a piece of ****, classless, and having no virtues,morales or scruples. Why the attacks and desperation to control the narrative? Is it fear I am being heard or could it be linked to a fear I actually won a board seat or could in the future? I have no intention of remaining quiet on issues I feel important to my community I love. PS: Elon Musk owns Twitter and his billions bought him the right to control his press at Twitter. Doug does not own Ocean Pines. He should follow his advice he gave me and get a thicker skin. Merry Christmas Mr. Clarke. |
