| I agree the award would have been lovely. I also believe in addition an offer of a memorial plaque to any improvements the foundation made would have been an acceptable compromise but that offer was not made. I wish the Board would have ignored the grieving mom's outburst on social media and quietly withdrawn the motion and stated the issue would be readdressed at a later time. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I am also saddened on how the Board handled the potential renaming of the skateboard park. The board handled that issue as the majority decided and I see nothing wrong with how the board handled it. If I have any complaint it is that they left doors open. They should have just said NO to the renaming. The offer of a yearly award was a responsible response. |
