The contractor did not mail them on July11 as required.
it sounds like a contract violation to me. Are there penalties if the contractor does not fulfill their obligations? Is OPA willing to enforce the obligations or penalize the contractor for non-compliance? Bruce Bright - are you listening? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Put your ballot in the police station dropbox if you are concerned. We have yet to see how all this plays out but one thing is very obvious - the handling of the election is not exactly going to restore confidence in how OPA handles elections. As for why the ballots were not received earlier, that was explained. The contractor did not mail them on July11 as required. Had that happened the ballots would have arrived this time last week. Unfortunately, OPA has offered no explanation as to why there was a week or so delay in the mailing. |
