Nate. It's not only the brick and mortar that make a place, but the atmosphere, the people, and the food. Matt Ortt has done an outstanding job with what he has to work with. The atmosphere is tremendous on the weekends in the summer. The staff at the pool, bars, and restaurant are always pleasant and welcoming. We are there 2 to 3 times a week In the summer and also eat breakfast at the golf course frequently. Always a great experience . it really feels like home to us
We like it so much we are having our daughters wedding at the Yacht Cluc and the rehearsal dinner at the golf course this summer It's not just the buildings but the people who are in the buildings that can make for a nice experience John |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The inside just doesn’t have a good dining atmosphere IMHO. Even the outside with the heavy block construction just looks institutional as Ed Moran points out. Good dining establishments have a warm and inviting feel and atmosphere. while I agree that MOC operates it as well or better than others, with good culinary products, it doesn’t measure up to the complete dining experience. It is not going to change in our lifetimes so I have resigned myself to accept it for what it is. |
