Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Another Sign Flap Msg# 1202338

Maybe I missed it but my DRs for section 5 (8. g.) does not mention flags.
When is a flag also a sign? When it is a sign. The signs in question are not flags. Now I see McComas signs being placed on OPA property at mailboxes. They were also initially placed along Cathell Road on OPA property. All in violation. One laughable lot location has a McComas and a "I support Public School Education" next to each other, but placed on the OPA right of way. It may well be that Elena McComas supporters are harming her chances of re-election with all this. Additionally, the ARC guidelines addresses real estate flags as being non-permissible. The OPA website is still down, but I recall some Guideline language stating flags would be considered as signs. Surely no reasonable person should see any sign violation as not being a violation if the same message was on a flag. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Maybe I missed it but my DRs for section 5 (8. g.) does not mention flags. Further, the ARC guidelines provide a definition of "sign" and it specifies only advertising flags. Additionally, the ARC guidelines addresses real estate flags as being non-permissible. |
