Parks should announce immediately that his comments before contract negotiations have even started were ill-advised and that he will recuse himself from voting on the new contract no matter who the finalists are.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Your title of this subject is appropriate. Parks should announce immediately that his comments before contract negotiations have even started were ill-advised and that he will recuse himself from voting on the new contract no matter who the finalists are. I also think that we may never know what prospective bidders will be turned off by the expectation of having to produce a great deal of material in a candidate presentation without a chance of a fair hearing. "Beauty contests" (that's what they are often called) are tough enough without the added knowledge that it was all in vain. Trust me, been there; done that, on both sides of the table. |
