Is this much ado about nothing? Except for the sitting board members accepting free booze and food at Matt Ortt restaurants outside Ocean Pines
To the best of my knowledge that so-called “compromise” ended years ago and board members no longer accept such gratuities. It was only that 2020 board. My commentary pointed out that 2020 compromise mainly to highlight those board members who unbelievably supported the compromise. As for much ado about nothing, don’t shoot the messenger. I only reported what the board voted to do based on advise of counsel to seek proposals. The current contract ends in June of 2025 and the board is being very prudent in seeking proposals well in advance of that. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Is this much ado about nothing? Except for the sitting board members accepting free booze and food at Matt Ortt restaurants outside Ocean Pines: does that not smell like a conflict of interest? What's that old saying: if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and smells like a duck, it must be a duck. As for the MOC's past performance, why change? I read every post from you, Joe, and I must admit that I am a bit confused about why this proposal subject was even brought up in the first place. Is their (MOC) contract actually up for renewal? If so, it seems to me that the MOC has the inside track for renewal. Operating in the black. What's not to like? What? Can't stand prosperity? AB |
