Rick, you are absolutely correct. Nothing in my commentary suggested current or even fairly recent board members have taken any gratuities from MOC at any venue. The board involved in that was back in 2020, as I made clear.  No one should be accusing current board members of accepting free food and booze from MOC.

That said, what transpired back in 2020 was also outrageous.

Larry Perrone, another board member present at that October 2020 closed-door board meeting when Director Frank Daly offered a "compromise" on the issue of board members accepting free food and booze from Matt Ortt Companies (MOC), has confirmed Daly's report that board members reached an agreement on Daly's proposed "compromise" allowing board members at that time to accept free food and booze at MOC establishments outside Ocean Pines but not at the MOC-managed facilities owned by OPA.

Those in favor of the Daly proposed "compromise" were Frank Daly, Camilla Rogers, Tom Janasek, Doug Parks, and Steve Tuttle. Those opposing were Colette Horn and Larry Perrone.

Of those members of the 2020 Board of Directors, none are now on the Board of Directors. However, Doug Parks was appointed by this board as Parliamentarian, and also as chairman of the powerful Budget & Finance Committee.
