Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Viola Given Go Ahead Msg# 1215857

During a special Board of Directors meeting on November 25, 2024, the board gave General Manager John Viola the authority to negotiate a contract with one individual bidder from the three who submitted bids to manage OPA’s food and beverage operations.
The name of that specific bidder was not made public. The following companies submitted bids : Touch of Italy, Mattt Ortt, and Sodel. Board discussion indicated the board intended to leave the final decision up to the GM as an operational decision, but it will require a final board vote after the GM presents the negotiated contract to the board. At that time the name of the contractor will be made public. Obviously, two of the three bidders will know they are not the one selected for negotiation. |
