Section 18: Worcester County Subject: Water & Sewer Msg# 1216367

Within a couple of years, the County was hard at work trying to redefine and limit the amount of EDU's that were promised as part of the deal to sell the facility to the County. Never trust a politician. "That wasn't my promise, that was the last guy and we all know he was senile." That goes for the OPA board and some of the locals who were happily carrying the load under the NIMBY or CONSERVATION banner.
There were even some on this forum who "blamed" me for being such a tricky negotiator that I took the County and the Association for a ride. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: How about the Ocean Pines rate payers being told at an open meeting that the County Water & Sewer could pay for our irrigation system at our golf course and it would cost us nothing. How is that possible you ask? Well, according to the County spokesperson, they were getting ready to retire a standing bond and the difference in our payments would balance out. OK, the County didn’t finance our irrigation system and I assume the bond was retired. So, where the heck is our rate reduction resulting from the retired bond? Got me? Marty |
