The forecasted loss of $17,000 is a big disappointment and leaves depreciation expense totally uncovered.
True. However. the YC budget, the number that the assessment was based on will be off by $177,000 or so. Disappointing is an understatement. Beach Club is managed by same person who managed it prior to Ortt. If a new company takes over it will be interesting to see if they hire her. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Couple thoughts. The Beach Club restaurant was budgeted to make $170,000 before depreciation but it’s now forecasted to make $247,000. So you have better than expected profit which should be in excess of depreciation. The Golf Grille was budgeted to make $75,000 before depreciation but now it’s forecasted to make $104,000 which again is better than expected profit which I suspect is enough to cover depreciation of the Grille’s share of building depreciation. The Yacht Club’s budget mark of $160,000 operational profit was close to meeting depreciation expense of $180,000. The forecasted loss of $17,000 is a big disappointment and leaves depreciation expense totally uncovered. Why Beach Club and Golf Grille and not the Yacht Club? Not sure other than reported disappointing bookings of weddings and other events at the YC. |
