Remember the big debate regarding the Boise Cascade restriction on "trailers" which some interpreted as applying to boats and eventually the change by Walt Boge's committee allowing boats since OP is a "boating community"? I believe there were also some trailer size restrictions aimed at the contractor trailers sprouting up at the time but will let your memory fill in "the rest of the story".
