Joe…I understand your logic however, what you aren’t aware of is the original thought that was proposed, prior to building the upper courts, was to convert the two har-tru courts closet to the lower pickleball courts into 8 pickleball courts, but that didn’t get much support from the board or tennis folks…since then, pickleball has continued to grow and tennis continues to shrink |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yes..this is not a new suggestion. As a former member of the OPPC board this was suggested and ignored. The result being the creation of the 4 new upper pickleball courts. It would have been far less expensive at the time to have done the conversion. So much for hindsight… Ron, what am I missing? If you have the four "new upper pickleball courts" and also need to convert one of the tennis har-tru courts to meet demand, it was perhaps best to build the four new upper pickleball courts since it would cost more money to do so now to meet demand had the har-tru been converted back then.
