Sometimes hindsight is 20/20 but in your case, since you were not around at the time, I think your distance vision needs correction.
So... you are saying you had no more negotiating skills than those of the then board? I will stick with my original statement -- there or not. In fact, I would apply my statement to many deals struck between any board and some outside private entity. The Steen deal to allow Steen to operate a real estate office on the parkway, the settlement with the contractor of the Yacht Club, the YMCA deal fiasco ....to name just three. I might also throw in the contracts for parking on our properties at the beach.
