Isn't riddle's new and improved sewage facility due online 4th quarter 25?
Yes. At a cost well in excess of $3 million when including water works repairs. How can Glen Riddle service area break even or turn a profit when Commissioner Fiori say he will not support a water/sewer increase for any service areas in his district? An unanswered question is whether Glen Riddle's reimbursement of OP area for seven years of water and sewer service is adequate. We have no idea. The Commissioners have no idea. Our Board has no idea. Who determined the reimbursement rate? The same Worcester County Public Works people who created this fiasco in the first place. The same Worcester County Public Works people who promised on a stack of bibles that an expansion of the OP plant was only for the OPA subdivision, and no areas outside it. Not long after, the Commissioners agreed to take Pennington Commons into the OP system (based on recommendation of the same Worcester County Public Works stsff people) and the flood gates were opened. In that regard, OPA has no recourse, even if lied to. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Riddle Farms is taking no steps to do anything. Riddle Farms service area is owned by Worcester County. Worcester County allowed the system to virtually shut down, with water and sewer service provided almost entirely by the Ocean Pines area for about the past SEVEN years.
