Gail: It is not often that you are wrong. There was 4906 votes cast in the third community center referendum, or 63% of the ballets mailed out. Not bad. The final vote was: 2,560 YES (52%) 2,346 NO (48%) That was at an "anticipated" cost of $3.9 million, not $5.4 million. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It is about the approximately one half of our membership "that voted" that did not want a new community center You left out the important part of that sentence "that voted". Approximately 1/2 of the membership would be over 4100 members. I don't think the total number of votes equaled that. |
