This petition should have been started one minute after Dan made his presentation telling everyone the cost for the community center was now $6.2M.

If not the petition, the BOD should have stepped in themselves and stopped it until a new referendum was held.  Everyone is heaping all the blame for this calamity on Dan, and he certainly deserves a heaping pile of it, but are forgetting about the role the BOD has played in allowing this to take place or continue.

This is perhaps the biggest single new project any BOD has undertaken since the OP HOA began.  Yet it was placed in the hands of a sole point person, a novice with apparently no experience in managing or handling such an immense construction project.  In addition, from day one the BOD has given their blind support allowing this situation to continue and the ramifications get worse each day.
