Marty, you made that statement about newspaper reporters signing earlier. I called every one who is a Pines lot owner and all denied signing your petition. Your remark about people not wanting it known that they signed your petition is absurd. Every signature MUST be verified by OPA and the petition cards will be a matter of PUBLIC record under the HOA Act, regardless of what Heather Cook decides to do or not do. Seems to me your comment about "any of your business" indicates a secretive aspect to the STOP operation, the same sort of secrecy the board is accused of from time to time. If I ever sign petitions, as I did with the Swim & Racquet Club marina project, I don't try to hide the fact. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: How is that any of your business? There are many people who have signed the petition who would not care to broadcast the fact to the world. Employees of Ocean Pines Association, Inc., newspaper reporters, for a couple of examples. I guess if Heather wants to release that information after the petition is turned over to her that would be her call. Do you have a problem with that? Marty Clarke |
