It is truly sad how some public
servants i.e. OPA Directors succumb to the OPIATE best termed "constant
publicity". Dan obviously favored the Progressive and Editor Stauss has
kept alive this theme, by giving Dan the headline of Dan possibly
heading a steering committee to consider the viability of O.P. becoming
a Municipality. If the idea was so wonderful..why hasn't Columbia, MD,
the largest HOA in the state ever given the concept any credence. The
MUNICIPALITY CONCEPT has been studied twice and the verdict has
been forget it. We would go from our current assessment approach
to proprerty values and subsequent INCREASED TAXES... DEAD IN THE WATER
CONCEPT. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Outgoing OPA Director Dan Stachurski, as a parting shot, has again insulted a large segment of OPA property owners. The man should listen to his own words and move out of Ocean Pines. In a story appearing in the August 10th edition of OC Today, Stachurski again blathers on about Ocean Pines becoming a municipality. This time, however, he states, "If you want to vote here, you have to verify that this is your residence. Ocean Pines should be for the people who live here, not for the people who own property here. I don't want to live in a community where people who don't live here have any say in how the place is run." It appears Stachurski has finally shown his true feelings for at least 53% or so of OPA lot owners. How could he possibly have represented the best interests of all lot owners during his six years on the Board of Directors while holding such an opinion? |
